Wind

Time is flying! Today is our last day in Greece, and it’s the first day that the weather hasn’t been essentially perfect. It’s a little windy, a white-caps-on-the-sea kind of day. So, instead of going on a sailing trip as planned, we’re sitting at Cafe Citron, reading and watching the sailboats rock in the waves. It’s not a bad way to spend the day, particularly after all the miles we were walking in Paris.

And it’s not like we’ve been lazy in Greece, either! We toured Athens, drove around Naxos to see the countryside, ferried over to Paros for an afternoon, swam and snorkeled, ate our respective body weights in seafood and gyros, and even caught a lizard for Mom to hold. I think she’s been having fun – I know I have – but I’m pretty sure we’re all going to need a vacation from her vacation.

So a little wind today is not a bad thing.
