What would you do if you were only in Paris for three days? I'm planning to put together a list of my recommendations at some point, but in case you couldn't tell from my packing list, Colin and I had pretty specific goals. Namely: eat and be outside. We wanted to simply live in Paris … Continue reading Our return to Paris

Scene around town
I took so many photos last year that I couldn't possibly share them all, but in looking back at my photo library, I realized that I have some real favorites that never made it into a post. Paris is just an unbelievably beautiful city, and I miss how much of daily life happens outside. Here, … Continue reading Scene around town
Gustav Eiffel and the Île aux Cygnes
A few weeks ago, I decided to walk to the western side of the city, past the Eiffel Tower. I had just discovered that there are, in fact, three islands in the Seine in Paris. The first two are well-known: Île de la Cité, which is home to Notre Dame, and Île Saint-Louis, which is … Continue reading Gustav Eiffel and the Île aux Cygnes
Six months in
Today marks six months since we boarded the plane for Paris, and I can't believe it. Where has the time gone?! We have simultaneously done so much and so little, and although we've seen a ton, our list of places to go and things to do just keeps growing. I can’t even bring myself to … Continue reading Six months in

The noise didn't even … Continue reading Victoire!

Touristing around
Ever since my mom landed in Paris, we've been running around trying to see and do all of the things. Well, not all - that would take at least two lifetimes - but several big-ticket-must-sees plus some of my favorite off-the-beaten-path places. And we're not the only ones! Since I left in early May, the … Continue reading Touristing around
Life lately: A snapshot
Hi, I'm a millennial, and the best indication of what I've been up to is the photo stream on my phone and camera. So, welcome to the photo dump portion of this blog! Some of these made it onto Instagram; others didn't because, let's be honest, nobody wants to be overwhelmed by dozens of someone … Continue reading Life lately: A snapshot
