Life lately: A snapshot

Hi, I’m a millennial, and the best indication of what I’ve been up to is the photo stream on my phone and camera. So, welcome to the photo dump portion of this blog! Some of these made it onto Instagram; others didn’t because, let’s be honest, nobody wants to be overwhelmed by dozens of someone else’s vacation photos. (Unless you’re reading a travel blog, in which case, I assume you know what you’re getting into.) So here we go, a quick visual recap of my three weeks to date à Paris! Most of these are just iPhone photos, but I have been trying to take my camera out more often. That’ll be easier when it gets warmer and I don’t have to worry about my fingers freezing.

They told us it didn’t snow in Paris! Apparently this hasn’t happened in years, and the Parisiens were all delighted. I guess we’re good luck.

One of the many gorgeous chapels within Notre Dame. (Also, photography practice for me. Check out that shallow depth of field!)

Baguette, croissant, and pain au chocolat from two different boulangeries because I wasn’t quick enough with my French to order all three at the first place and I figured it would be easier to find another than to try to add to my order while a line of actual French speakers waited impatiently behind me. #languageproblems #worthit

  1. Just got caught up reading your blog, so interesting and inciteful. Thank you for your perseverance. And I was just wondering beforehand if you were feeling settled into the rhythm of life in Paris…
